American River Trailfest

Don’t forget Monday June 9th is the fifth annual Trailfest on the South Fork American River. Always a great celebration with bbq, live music, raffle, live auction and more. All proceeds go toward the construction and maintenance of a vast system of trails stretching from the Coloma-Lotus Valley down to Salmon Falls.

Night of Lights at Mammoth Mountain Resort

Mammoth Mountain will celebrate the Night of Lights event at Canyon Lodge on Saturday, January 12, 2008. Night of Lights celebrates the magic of snow with a winter lights show against the majestic backdrop of Mammoth’s ski slopes. Guests of all ages are invited to ride the complimentary Village Gondola to Canyon Lodge where they can enjoy a fun-filled night complete with firework show, torchlight parade and snowmobile demo.



Winter Trails Day at Kirkwood | January 12, 2008

Kirkwood Mountain Resort and REI are teaming up to host Winter Trails Day at the Kirkwood Cross Country and Snowshoe Center on Saturday, January 12th  with free cross country skiing lessons, free snowshoe demos and REI Outdoor school seminars.  Winter Trails Day is a national campaign now in its 13th year designed to expose newcomers to the benefits of cross country skiing and snowshoeing.  This one day event is geared towards families, hikers and other recreational enthusiasts as both sports can be enjoyed by participants of all ages and ability levels.  For more information, please contact Kirkwood’s Cross Country and Snowshoe Center at 209.258.7248.
